Rules for St. Jude's Catholic Church
1. Title to the land used for burial will remain vested in the Diocese of Fargo. Burial Rights alone shall be purchased for burial. Those who purchase such rights will be heretofore be referred to as Holder of Burial Rights.
2. The placing of boxes, shells, toys, metal designs, ornaments, chairs, settees, vases, glass, wood, or iron cases, and similar articles on plots shall not be permitted. If so placed the cemetery board shall have to have them removed. Watering cans or other utensils shall not be left on the plots.
3. The general care of the cemetery shall be assumed by St. Jude's Knights of Columbus and volunteers.
4. The term "general care" shall be construed to mean the cutting of grass at reasonable intervals, the cleaning of grounds, the pruning of shrubs and trees.
5. The general care assumed by St. Jude's Knights of Columbus and volunteers shall in no way include the care of monuments, replacement of foundations.
6. St. Jude's cemetery requires the use of a burial vault.
7. Bodies shall not be removed from St. Jude's Cemetery without the appropriate permission from the Director of Cemeteries, Diocese of Fargo.
8. Planting of trees and shrubs shall be made by St. Jude's Cemetery Board only.
9. Trees, shrubs, or plants situated on any lot, which becomes detrimental to the proper landscaping of the cemetery shall be removed by the cemetery board.
10. The cemetery board shall have the right to remove without notice all plantings, emblems, floral designs, framed baskets, and any and all other objects as soon as they become unsightly, dangerous, detrimental, or diseased.
11. All monument companies and their employees are required to get approval from the cemetery board before they shall do any work in the cemetery.
12. No curbing, fencing, borders, or enclosures of any kind shall be allowed around any lot. The cemetery board shall be empowered to remove them if so erected.
13. No monument work of any kind shall be placed on any lot unless St. Jude's Cemetery has been paid for the plot(s), and proper provisions made for the care of the lot.
14. Grave markers of wood, iron, bronze, cement, or any like materials shall be prohibited, except with the approval of the cemetery board.
15. The cemetery board reserves the right to evacuate and build all foundations and to regulate all work done in the cemetery. The cemetery board is not responsible for any broken monuments.
16. Only two cremated remains are allowed in one plot. One headstone is permitted per plot.
17. Cremated remains cannot be buried where a body (casket) has been placed. No more than two cremated remains per plot are permitted.
18. All cremated remains will be in urns and placed in a vault.
19. The family has three to six months to place a monument on the plot. If not, they need to contact the cemetery board for the extended time period
20. A plot will be reserved if a headstone is purchased within three to six months. If a plot is purchased and no headstone they will be buried in an existing row or where we can find room in the old edition of the cemetery.
21. The Diocese of Fargo is a legal corporation organized and existing under the Laws of the State of North Dakota. St. Jude's Cemetery is in accordance with the rules and discipline of the Roman Catholic Church, the Statutes of the Diocese of Fargo, and the Laws of the State of North Dakota.
22. Burials will be in a progressive order, with each plot following the other. If other issues than wanting a particular spot, a pastoral approach will be used to guide the family's needs.

1. Cost of Plots: New addition of cemetery --- Parishioners: $150.00 per plot
--- Non Parishioners: $500.00 per plot
Old Addition of Cemetery --- Parishioners: $150.00 per plot
--- Non Parishioners: $300.00 per plot
2. Definition of Parishioner: a current registered member or a lifelong member of St. Jude's church.
3. Position for Burial:
Headstone onwest of plot.
